Ira - I’ve got Lonnie here at M.W. Repair and Sales Gehl dealership in Northern Indiana. They did an install of one of our Kubota retrofit swaps for a Gehl 5240 skid loader.
Ira - So, Lonnie, why did you choose the Kubota Retrofit swap?
Lonnie - We chose it because of parts availability. The Deutz parts are pretty much over and hard to come by and we got a lot of units out there. We wanted something to repower with so we can keep guys up and running.
Ira- Otherwise, the option is what? Junk the machine?
Lonnie - Yes, or trying to patch it up and keep it going. But, you can only do so much before it’s done.
Ira - How would you rate the ease of installation?
Lonnie - This was one of Ira’s first setups so we had to do some modifying to get it up and going. But in all reality it worked out great after we got things figured out. Ira was very helpful in getting us up and going. My recommendation for the next one is to get the kit drop-in ready. That is an option Ira provides. You can just talk to him and he can help out. That’d be my best fit.
Ira - How did the install look overall when you were finished.
Lonnie - Great! It looked great!

Lonnie - Yup! Absolutely would!
